Mission: To guarantee equality, individual rights, and social justice for a diverse and inclusive society

November 13, 2021 – Topic: The Challenges and Rewards of Women in Non-traditional Roles
Mission: Panel discussion on pay equity, gender roles and community interaction. Presentation of scholarship recipients.

December 11, 2021 –  Topic: Holiday Party, Fundraiser for Rachel’s House, and Merry Ukes
Mission: To guarantee equality, individual rights, and social justice for a diverse and inclusive society

January 8, 2022 VIA ZOOM Topic: Jessica Gutierrez Masini, FUND Recipient, on Indigenous peoples from San Bernardino County
Mission: Strengthening programs that encourage career development and earning potential, including career and technical education, access to postsecondary education.

February 12, 2022 – Topic: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Panel. In honor of Black History Month, Joyce Suber & Carol Patrick led a discussion about the sorority’s history, community service, & philanthropic activities. Additionally, the Branch Named Gift Honoree was announced.
Mission: To guarantee equality, individual rights, and social justice for a diverse and inclusive society.

March 12, 2022 – Topic: Michelle Mullen, M.Ed. Chief Mission Delivery Officer for the Girl Scouts of San Diego on developing leaders, implementing Annual local and national programs in STEM, outdoor, entrepreneurship, and life skills, ensuring those programs are relevant and meaningful to girls in K-12.

April 23, 2022 –  Topic: La Mesa-El Cajon AAUW Branch 70th Anniversary Celebration. This meeting will be a joint meeting with the Foundation and the branch.
Mission: Programs that provide all women with education, including financial literacy, training, and support for success in the workforce.

May 21, 2022 –  Author’s Luncheon – Scholarships Fundraiser. First Female Essay Winner. Silent Auction. Basket Raffle. Author’s Presentation
Mission: Public Education and Strengthening programs that encourage career development and earning potential, including career and technical education, access to postsecondary education, job training for welfare recipients, and training for incarcerated women.

June 18, 2022 – Annual Branch Meeting/Installation of officers, review of the year
Mission: Support for adequate funding that gives women and other disadvantaged populations access to higher education, including two-year degree programs and vocational training.
